Well, I tried Inbox for a year as an experiment, and then eventually went back to regular GMail. Most of the features that it provided were things that I didn’t actually want it to do, plus it lacked some important things that I rely on like “mark unread from here” which I use constantly.

Other than spam filtering, I don’t want my email sorted or bundled or analyzed; every email is important and shouldn’t be hidden or deprioritized in any way. If an email is truly not worth reading, then the correct action is to get the sender to stop sending me emails like that.
