I've thought about it.

I've worked with ChatGPT quite a bit as a creative writing tool, and it has not been as useful as I would have hoped. For a novice writer / designer, it may have some utility, but for someone with long experience and high standards, it leaves much to be desired.

The biggest failing of ChatGPT is that it's a cliche generator. The ideas that it suggests are almost always obvious, with little that would surprise a player. This should be no surprise, as ChatGPT is designed to be friendly and helpful, whereas a master game designer needs to be devious and sneaky.

ChatGPT also has a very strong bias for happy endings, and most of its conflicts are quickly resolved in a trite and simple way. Even if you ask it to produce a tragedy, it gives you a tragedy with an uplifting conclusion - the hero died, but the world was a better place etc.

I've experiments with asking ChatGPT to take on the role of a brilliant and devious game designer, but the results weren't that much improved.

Still, it may be just a matter of figuring out how to ask the questions in the right way. If I could find that, it would be very useful.
